The exam

The ACEM Fellowship at a glance

The Fellowship Written exam is one Short Answer Question (SAQ) paper and one Select Choice Question (SCQ) paper, 2 × 180 minutes. The Fellowship Clinical Exam (OSCE) has up to 12 stations of 11 minutes each, with 4 minutes of reading time, held over two consecutive days. ACEM allows up to three attempts at the written and four at the OSCE. The ACEM Fellowship module in ClintixPro is new and in beta: live and fully usable, with candidates’ feedback shaping what we add next.

For current dates, eligibility and format details, see ACEM’s exam information.

The problem

Effort isn't the problem. Direction is.

You're preparing around full clinical rosters, so every hour has to count. It's easy to spend those hours on what you already know, because nothing tells you what you don't. ClintixPro does: it finds the domains costing you marks and points your limited study time there.

Your pass likelihood, built from your full exam results, so you know whether you’re ready to sit and what to fix if you’re not.

Supervisor Mode Standard & Intensive

Bring your supervisor into your preparation

Your DEMT or exam supervisor can see where you're falling short and help you work on it, so they don't have to keep asking how you're going. It's off until you switch it on, and it costs your supervisor nothing. You give them a connection code, and once they connect, you accept. Here's what they can see:

  • how ready you are to pass, and which domains are holding you back
  • how much of the syllabus you’ve covered, and how much you’ve practised
  • which topics you should tackle next
  • how you compare with your cohort, anonymously
  • the trends across all the trainees they supervise

They can also set you targeted exams and help shape your approach to the paper. They can't see your tutor chats or your individual answers, and you can stop sharing whenever you like. When you do, their access ends.

FAQ

Questions about ACEM Fellowship preparation

Does ClintixPro help with the OSCE?

Yes. OSCE stations run by voice, so you practise talking through the scenario and get feedback on your answers. Voice Mode is part of the Intensive plan.

Does it cover the written as well?

Yes. SAQ and SCQ practice, weighted to your weak domains, with SAQ answers scored against a model answer.

How many attempts do I get at the ACEM Fellowship exams?

ACEM allows up to three attempts at the Fellowship Written exam and four at the Fellowship Clinical Exam (OSCE). Each attempt needs a new application and fee, so knowing how likely you are to pass before you sit is worth having.

The Fellowship is in beta. What does that mean?

The module is live and fully usable. Beta means it is new, and candidates’ feedback is shaping what we add next.

Can my DEMT or exam supervisor follow my preparation?

If you choose. Supervisor Mode is opt-in, on the Standard and Intensive plans, and free for your supervisor. They can see where you stand and where your weak areas are, so they can help tailor your approach to the exam. They cannot see your tutor chats or your individual answers, and you can stop sharing at any time.
